Jordan Bridges PGA

Jordan Bridges is the Director of Instruction at the Central Coast Golf Academy at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande Ca. Developing junior golfers and helping young players improve their game is the primary focus at the Central Coast Golf Academy. Jordan prides himself on teaching the game in a positive motivating environment and coaching players to the best of their potential. Jordan is a Class A PGA professional and Certified U.S. Kids Coach with over 25 years experience in the golf business. He is the founder of the Central Coast Golf Academy at Cypress Ridge Golf Course, longtime Ben Hogan Staff member and dedicated student of the game. He studied Environmental Horticulture Science at Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo and is a Ca. Licensed Realtor with Sotheby’s International Realty.

Sandy Nickerson LPGA
Sandy began her golfing career in Maui, Hawaii at the Wailea Golf Resort later to receive a full golf scholarship to the University of Hawaii Manoa & then UCLA, to later go on and play professionally on the mini tour. Over the years, she has held the position of Director of Instruction at various top resorts & private clubs throughout the country, from Maui to Aspen to Hilton Head with a special interest in promoting Women’s Golf through various Golf Schools, Game Development Programs & Golf Getaways. As an LPGA Class A Golf Professional for over 25 years and Life Member of the Ladies Professional Golf Association, her background in golf instruction is extensive. She has trained with several of the nation’s top Professional Golf Instructors; Jim Hardy the co-founder of the John Jacobs Golf Schools was her mentor for over a decade. Mike La Bauve from the Golf Digest Golf Schools, Marlene Floyd and her Women’s Only Golf Schools, and Gary Lester from Extraordinary Golf, leader in coaching on the mental side of the game. Together, Sandy brings to her instruction a wealth of information with a straight forward approach. Along with her communication skills and upbeat personality, she provides in her coaching not only effective swing fundamentals in all areas of the game with an improvement for more consistent ball striking results, but an understanding on ball flight for self-correction and a learned awareness through a lasting body/mind connection. For the past decade, Sandy has also been host to her ‘Swing Sip & Savor’ Golf Retreats for Women and Couples in premier California’s Premier Wine Country in Napa Valley, Santa Barbara & San Luis Obispo AVA’s. She offers 1 – 3 Day Golf Retreats where education goes beyond the lesson tee with pairings of food & wine education for a unique golf experience that is not only memorable and fun, but that can be savored!

Cynthia Navis
Cynthia Navis is a graduate of University of Southern California and an accomplished competitive golfer. She is a 3 time Santa Barbara Women’s Open Champion, She has won 5 WSCGA Major Championships, 8x USGA Mid-Am qualifier advancing to match play 4 times and 12x Club Champion. She has a lifetime of golf experience and has been helping students as a professional instructor for over 10 years. Through the years she has had the opportunity to work with such top instructors as Jimmy Ballard, Kip Puterbaugh, Fred Shoemaker, Paul Runyan and Dean Reinmuth.

Peter Wolke

Peter Wolke is originally from Colorado and he brings over 10 years of teaching experience to players in various age groups and skill levels Peter focuses on improving the student’s game for their specific swing believing a single swing type does not work for every player. He offers a fun and stress free teaching environment for all players.

Rich Massey
Certified Impact Zone Instructor - as a certified Impact Zone instructor, Rich focuses on teaching each student the importance of getting into the proper impact position with every club. He realizes that each golfer has their own unique swing style, so he works with the student's own swing style and prioritizes what needs to be done to get the student to consistently get into the impact position that all great ball strikers accomplish. Rich Massey is a New Jersey native and has been playing professional golf and teaching golf for almost twenty years. He was a high school All-American, as well as a NCAA Academic All-American player. After college he played professionally on the Canadian, South African, South American and Nationwide/PGA Tours. While playing the Canadian and South American PGA Tours, he served on the board of directors. He has worked with some of the best teaching professionals in the business, such as Bobby Clampett, David Leadbetter, Mike Bender and Mitchell Spearman. Rich has been the Cal Poly volunteer assistant golf coach since 2009. He believes in an individualistic and simplistic approach to teaching golf, with the goal to be getting every golfer into a dynamic impact position, as well as keeping the club in a balanced position throughout the swing. Rich brings a tremendous amount of both playing and teaching experience and keen knowledge of all aspects of the game to the Academy.

Steven Day

Originally from Louisiana, and a graduate of Louisiana State University, Steven brings a lifelong connection to the game of golf. Over the last 7 years Steven has been a Professional Caddie at private high end golf clubs with experience on the PGA, Web.com, Champions, and LPGA tours nationwide. In addition to professional events Steven also worked as an Assistant Golf Professional where he gave lessons, managed the pro shop, and coordinated daily golf course operations. Prior to this Steven spent 10 years working in the golf course design and construction industry, where he was involved in all aspects of new golf course construction and renovation, and also had the privilege of working with the late Arnold Palmer and Pete Dye. Steven also enjoys competitive golf and has competed in amateur and professional events nationwide, and continues to work on his game.

John McComish PGA 
John McComish grew up in Santa Maria and started playing golf at age 4. He played golf at Saint Joseph High School, Allan Hancock Jr. College, and Cal State Northridge where he was a 2nd team All American. He played for a living for 13 years and then worked 21 years being a PGA pro at a couple different golf facilities. John’s approach to teaching is very straight forward and simple. He wants his students to understand why and how we got to the result. He relies on his long experience of playing competitive tournaments. Here are some of the players he played with and learned from; Nicklaus, Watson, Trevino, Floyd, Faldo, Azinger, Couples, Love, Norman, Price. He believes that the short game is the key to all golfers shooting good scores at their level. He shows you how to practice and that quality beats quantity. The mental game is huge at all levels and his experience working with sports psychologist Bob Rotella allowed him to reach great heights and can work with his students to do the same.

Daniel Miller PGA
Daniel was born and raised on the Central Coast where he competed heavily as a junior golfer. Competing locally, regionally and nationally in numerous tournaments organized by such associations such as NCJGA, AJGA, and USGA. His commitment to golf shaped his educational path. Competing on the golf team at Ernest Righetti High School and Allan Hancock College led to a scholarship to play for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. After earning his degree in Business Administration at Cal Poly SLO, Daniel became an assistant golf professional at the Santa Maria Country Club and later the San Luis Obispo Country Club. Daniel accumulated five years experience and training as an apprentice to earn the privilege to now be considered a Class A PGA Professional. Due to his strong passion and focus for teaching he has averaged over 400 golf lessons a year as a golf professional. Daniel has based his teaching on strong fundamentals and simple techniques to juniors and adults of all skill levels. This has allowed golfers to produce effective and quality repetitions during practice and, as a result, golfers achieve realistic implementation in playing situations and competitive environments.

John is the CCGA source on club fitting and the CCGA Video Lab. From evaluating a set makup to analyzing launch monitor information, students and their instructors can make the best decisions for changes in equipment and their golf swing. John has a long history in the Video/technology field bringing his passion for golf, helping students improve their swing with technology.

Hannah Bridges

Hannah Bridges developed her game and honed her golfing skills at Lake Nona Golf Club in Orlando Florida. Competing on the various junior tours in Florida she earned a scholarship to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She works with the CCGA consulting on software, web, and academy business development.
